About a dozen people were injured in clash that ensued between relatives of bride and groom in a marriage palace here on Wednesday.

It reportedly happened on the issue of non-availability of alcohol and eatables being served in the marriage.
The marriage between a woman, a resident of Guru Nanakpura locality here, was taking place with a man from a village in Ferozepur district in at a palace on Bibiwala road here.
The event turned sour when relatives of groom allegedly started raising the issue of non-availability of liquor in the marriage. The issue soon turned into a clash between two parties and members from both sides resorted to stone pelting.
SHO, Civil Lines police station Karamjit Singh said that the injured were provided treatment at Bathinda Civil Hospital but police were yet to register a case in this regard as no formal complaint has yet been received.
