Deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said here on Saturday that the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) alliance would form the next government in Haryana.
Talking to mediapersons here, Sukhbir said that there was an anti-Congress wave in Haryana and the SAD-INLD alliance was getting good response in the state, and the alliance would form the next government without the support of any other party.
When asked if they would persuade the BJP to form the government with INLD in Haryana, if all major parties failed to get absolute majority, he said, "I don't think that we will need any support, we will form the government on our own".
He, however, refused to comment over the attacks on the SAD leadership by cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu.
When asked about the killing of two young brothers in the Jamalpur area of Ludhiana, the deputy chief minister said, "The investigation was going on, I am in touch with the police officers of the district, and I talked to the SSP concerned today also."
