Interestingly, despite having the ruling government, Robin along with local BJP workers held a protest at the Model Town Chowk and blocked the traffic demanding immediate suspension of ASI Devi Chand of police station no 7. Robin claimed that he went to the police station on Wednesday morning pertaining to a case of his friend. “When I asked the ASI to file his complaint, he denied it and used abusive language,” he said.

However, the ASI denied all allegations saying that Robin was deliberately making it an issue as he had not said anything to him or his supporters.

Chand said that he was investigation a case in which a woman close to Robin thrashed two employees of a private insurance company at her home when they approached her for pending EMIs instalments.

“In this case, two of Sampla’s supporters approached me and asked for registration of a cross case against the insurance company employees which I refused. Following this, Robin Sampla led by his supporters reached the police station and staged a protest against me,” the ASI claimed.
