Sangrur boy crushed to death under PRTC bus
A 17-year-old boy was crushed to death under a PRTC bus near the bus stand here on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Monu, a resident of the city. According to the police, Monu was coming home from his school when a bus of Bhatinda depot of PRTC (PB 03 A 8038) hit his scooter killing the boy on the spot.

A 17-year-old boy was crushed to death under a PRTC bus near the bus stand here on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Monu, a resident of the city. According to the police, Monu was coming home from his school when a bus of Bhatinda depot of PRTC (PB 03 A 8038) hit his scooter killing the boy on the spot.
The police have registered a case against the driver of the bus, who managed to flee from the spot along with the bus. The city police station in charge Sukhdev Singh said, "The driver of the bus managed to flee but we have booked him under Section 304 A of the IPC, after tracing the number of the bus." The body of the deceased has been handed over to the family after postmortem, added the SHO.
