A school bus crushed two two-wheeler riders to death and injured two others at Malwa Colony on the outskirts of the city here on Thursday.

The bus of Udaseen Modern School, Dera Bir Kheri Gujran village, was being driven rashly that led to the accident.

According to information, the school bus driver was returning after dropping children around 3 pm when he rammed the bus into a scooter and a motorcycle.

Scooter rider Varinder Singh, resident of Madowas village, and motorcyclist Narinder Singh of Kehri Gujara village died on the spot, while their pillion riders Nirmal Singh and Sandeep were taken to Rajindra hospital.

SHO Simranjit Singh said the bus driver and the conductor fled the scene. The police were looking for the two.
