Schoolboy commits suicide, blames teacher in suicide note

A 12-year-old schoolboy has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in a classroom here and blamed his teacher for forcing him to take the extreme step, said a police official on Sunday.

Ravi committed suicide on Saturday by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in a classroom of Government Senior Secondary School in Rohrai, of which he was a student. His body was recovered this morning by police, along with a suicide note that was pasted on the wall.

The suicide note stated that he was committing suicide because of the threat given to him by a school teacher, that she would "finish" him. Ravi allegedly took the extreme step after the school hours.

The police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against the schoolteacher named in the suicide note. After the postmortem examination that was conducted at the civil hospital here, the body of the boy was handed over to the family.
