Lawlessness and discotheques go hand in hand, it seems. This was proved yet again on Wednesday night outside Miami Club in Sector 9 when a youth (who works as a part-time bouncer in clubs) assaulted the club’s manager when the latter refused the stag entry of his friend.

Ram Chaudhary first took the manager, Shinku, a resident of Khuda Lahora, to the parking lot on some pretext and assaulted him. Chaudhary also thrashed another club employee, Varinder, who had come to the rescue of Shinku.

Shinku in his complaint to the police said the incident took place at about 11:30pm when Chaudhary, along with his friend, Sunny Bains, came to the discotheque. Shinku said Sunny asked him to allow him entering the club, but the former turned down his request as Sunny’s entry was banned following an incident in the past wherein he had misbehaved with some girls. “Sunny went back to his car and Ram Chaudhary came at the entry gate and took me aside and attacked me. When my colleague Varinder saw all this in the CCTV, he came to my rescue and he too was assaulted,” Shinku said.

He said Chaudhary and Sunny then left the spot in a car. “I called the PCR and a police team turned up. The cops asked me to submit a complaint with the Sector 3 police,” Shinku said.

The police got Shinku medically examined at GMSH in Sector 16, but no case was registered. Sector 3 SHO Dalbir Singh preliminary probe is on and he would look into the matter.
