Sex racket busted; cop, 7 others arrested
Police have busted a flesh-trade racket being run in a hotel in the Shivpuri area here on Wednesday with the arrest of three men, including a head constable, and three women, besides two employees of the hotel.

The hotel owner, however, managed to escape the spot.
However, the arrested head constable managed to flee.
The Basti Jodhewal police have arrested them under the immoral trafficking act.
The accused have been identified as head constable Amrik Singh, Kulwinder Singh of Dheri village, Narinderpal Singh of Noorwala, Baljit Kaur of Ladhowal, Sarbjit Kaur of Jalandhar and Kuldeep Kaur Jodhewal. The hotel employees who have been arrested are Sunil Kumar and Kishan Kumar.
A departmental inquiry has been ordered against the head constable.
Additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP) city-4 Sushil Kumar said the police had raided the hotel following a tip-off. "We had information that the hotel owner used to execute illegal activities in the hotel. On Wednesday, it received information that some couples have checked in into the hotel. The police raided the hotel and arrested the accused who were in compromising position."
Inspector Balwinder Singh, SHO of Basti Jodhewal police station, said the police were on a lookout for the hotel owner.
