He said due to the negligence of bank officials, currency notes worth Rs 10 lakh were spoiled in the bank locker.

Later, the bank officials received his complaint and assured him that they would pursue the matter with higher authorities.

The dhaba owner said he would a file complaint against the bank officials.

Jaspal Singh, owner of Shekhupuria Dhaba, said he possessed a locker in the bank. Over a year ago, he had kept Rs 10 lakh in the locker. When he opened the locker on Tuesday he was shocked to see the soiled currency notes, which were being eaten by termites.
