Traffic awareness: Roses for good Samaritans

In an awareness campaign on traffic rules held by State Transport Authority (STA), deputy commissioner Vivek Atray gave roses to people who were found obeying rules, in Sector 1 outside Government College. The college students also participated in the drive.

“Now-a-days, to keep yourself safe is paramount. Sometimes we put our life in danger, and by doing so, we not only disobey traffic rules but also put the lives of others in danger,” Atray said. (HT Photo)

Speaking on the occasion, Atray said, “Now-a-days, to keep yourself safe is paramount. Sometimes we put our life in danger, and by doing so, we not only disobey traffic rules but also put the lives of others in danger.” He advised people to use seatbelts and wear helmets.

“Similar exercise will also be carried out in Government College for Girls in Sector 14 and outside government colleges in Barwala and Kalka too,” said he.
