IMA Punjab secretary Dr Navjot Singh Dhaiya said that the tribunal would be formed within a day or two, and by January 15, the matter is expected to be resolved regarding the elections.

Dr Dhaiya said, "I will be writing to state IMA president Dr SPS Sooch, immediate past president Dr Sudhir Raj and past state president Dr RN Bhardwaj to be the part of tribunal and resolve the tussle over Ludhiana IMA elections."

Dhaiya said the current president has already shown his consent verbally and if any other president couldn't turn up for any reason, then the next past president will be invited to be a part of the tribunal.

After tribunal formation with three state presidents as members of it, the members would hold a meeting with Ludhiana IMA to submit their report, that would unwind the election process of district IMA. This process may take time.

Its pertinent to mention that IMA Ludhiana elections were due on December 28, which were stayed by the state body after receiving the complaints by the president of Ludhiana IMA and chief election commissioner of the IMA against one another.
