Villager arrested with 10-kg smack
The Batala police have arrested a villager and recovered 10-gm smack from his possession. A police team led by ASI Susheel Kumar had laid a naka outside Misharpura village under Ranger Nangal polices station.

The Batala police have arrested a villager and recovered 10-gm smack from his possession. A police team led by ASI Susheel Kumar had laid a naka outside Misharpura village under Ranger Nangal polices station.
During checking, they arrested one Gurbachan Singh, a resident of Misharpura, and recovered 10-gm smack from him. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against him. In another incident, the Shri Hargobindpur police arrested a person and recovered 15,000 ml of illicit liquor from him.
The accused has been identified as Jaswant Singh, a resident of Mathola village. A case under the Excise Act has been registered against him.
