With 98.6 percent, Ludhiana lad Ritish Goyal is on 'cloud nine'

Ritish, on the other hand, credited his parents and teachers saying, “I used to study five to six hours daily after school and the credit goes to my teachers who always helped me with extra coaching. Moreover, my parents were there as pillars of strength.”
When asked about the changes that he would like to see in the education system, the topper said that if a student wants to study non medical then they should be given a choice to opt for the same subjects from class IX so as to decrease the burden of studies. He further said that education should be focused on clearing concepts rather than the present system which encourages cramming.

There is an urgent need to improve education level in government schools and all concepts should be cleared at schools so that the students do not feel the need of tuitions, he added.
Ritish is preparing for JEE advanced examination Scheduled for June 2. He had scored 331 marks in JEE main examination.
Inspired by his brother Aatish, who is pursuing Mechanical engineering from IIT Mumbai, Ritish dreams of getting admission in IIT Mumbai.
