Woman arrested for drug peddling in Phagwara
The police have arrested a woman on charges of drug peddling and recovered50 grams of intoxicating powder from her. The accused has been identified as Sonia, a resident of local Jagat Ram Soondh Colony.

The police have arrested a woman on charges of drug peddling and recovered50 grams of intoxicating powder from her.
The accused has been identified as Sonia, a resident of local Jagat Ram Soondh Colony.
She was arrested under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, the police said.
The woman was caught during a routine checking on the Phagwara-Hoshiarpur road.
Meanwhile, a couple from nearby Sunra Rajputan village was booked under various sections of the NDPS Act for allegedly selling drugs, the police added.
The couple, identified as Lakhbir Singh and his wife Mehingi, is yet to be arrested.
