Woman succumbs to injuries, dowry death charge against in-laws
The Nakodar city police have registered section 304-B (dowry death) against in-laws of a newly married woman who succumbed to her injuries in a Jalandhar hospital on Friday night.

The Nakodar city police have registered section 304-B (dowry death) against in-laws of a newly married woman who succumbed to her injuries in a Jalandhar hospital on Friday night.
Investigating officer Sukhwinderpal Singh said, Suman wife of Sandeep Kumar of Mohalla Bahadurpura was admitted in Jalandhar civil hospital on September 1 after she tried to commit suicide by setting herself on fire.
Police booked Sandeep, his father and mother under section 498-A of the IPC. The deceased recorded her statement before Jalandhar judicial magistrate stating that she married Sandeep six months ago and was being tortured.
