The assailants broke his arms and legs before he was stuffed into the bag and it was set ablaze, Tarn Taran senior superintendent of police (SSP) Manmohan Kumar Sharma has said. Police found the body on a roadside after receiving information about it. It was hard to identify the victim.

The SSP said that the police were trying to find out about the victim and the motive for the murder. “The death was most gruesome,” he added.
