Dhanush to promote The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir at Cannes 2018
Dhanush will be promoting his debut international film, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, at Cannes 2018.
Actor Dhanush will be making his debut at the Cannes film festival to promote his first international project, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir. The Indo-French production will be promoted on the sidelines of the film festival. Directed by Canadian filmmaker Ken Scott, the film is based on the book titled, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe.
Dhanush’s film will be promoting his film at the India celebration on May 11 during the festival. A report in The Hindu says, “A question-answer session with the film’s team will also be organised at the India pavilion in Marche du Cinema (Cannes Film Market).”
The report quotes a spokesperson saying, “It is a stellar salad of a cast from all continents, held together by Dhanush.”
The film features Berenice Bejo in the lead role while Gerard Jugnot plays a key character. American actor Erin Moriarty and Barkhad Abdi are also in the film.
The film has been shot in Mumbai, Paris, the Falklands, Spain, Rome and Libya. It is slated to release in France on May 30. However, the film’s release date in India is not declared yet.
