Mahesh Babu fans troll actor Sobhita Dhulipala for not referring to him as ‘superstar’
Mahesh Babu’s fans took offence to actor Shobita Dhulipala’s response on being congratulated by the star.
Actor Sobhita Dhulipala was a part of the critically and commercially successful film Goodachari. The film, written by Adivi Sesh and directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, was positively received by the film fraternity as well. One of the many senior actors who applauded the film was Mahesh Babu, who took to Twitter to congratulate the film.
He wrote, “Goodachari is a very impressive attempt in making a slick spy-thriller in Telugu. It’s crisp, fast & gripping. Loved the performances of all the actors. @AdiviSesh shines all through. Congratulations to the entire team!” Sobhita replied to the tweet and wrote, “Thank you!”. Fans took offence to the actor’s response as they thought it was disrespectful to Mahesh Babu and began to troll her. Many commented that the actor needed to learn to respect a senior actor and shouldn’t just respond with a simple ‘Thank you’.
Sobhita spoke to Miss Malini and said, “I was confused that a ‘Thank you!’ was seen as disrespectful purely because I hadn’t attached salutations like Sir/superstar/The great etc. Of course, I have immense respect for him and find it rather saddening that social media is not a place of safety. Anonymity shouldn’t be misused.”
Goodachari was Sobhita’s debut film in Telugu and she will soon be seen opposite Emraan Haashmi in the remake of Body.
