'It is a period movie set in the Mumbai of the 1990s and the theme of the film is based on the carrom board..Striker. It has Siddharth (Telugu actor of Boys fame, who also acted in Rang De Basanti), playing the main protagonist and I play a bar owner in the film," Padmapriya said.

Though her first was Telugu movie 'Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi, Padmapriya said she never really worked in Telugu industry. An MBA graduate, she did it for a friend because he was 'pestering' her for long. It was done at her 'convenience' and during the Christmas vacation and then she 'got back to work' (working in GE) as she never intended to make a career in films but then offers came calling.
Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi (in 2003) was a remake of a Malayalam film. Her first Malayalam movie was Kaazhcha in 2004 when ace director Blessy cast her opposite Mammootty.
