Actor Vikram, last seen playing a duty-fearing cop in Saamy Square, will next be seen in upcoming thriller Kadaram Kondan, being directed by Rajesh M Selva. The makers over the weekend revealed that Vikram has crooned a special song in the film, which is currently in the post-production phase. Pictures from the song recording session featuring Vikram behind the mic have been released and they immediately went viral on social media.

From O Podu in Gemini to Excuse Me in Kanthaswamy to Pudhu Metro Rail in Saamy Square; Vikram, who considers himself an underrated singer, has many hit chartbusters to his credit. Reliable sources from the team of Kadaram Kondan have revealed that the song Vikram has crooned is a motivational number and will be used at some crucial juncture in the film.

Last November, the makers unveiled the first look poster of the film on the occasion of Diwali. The poster gives us a glimpse of Vikram’s character and going by the first impression, he looks menacing. The poster features Vikram sporting thick salt-and-pepper beard and slick hairdo. Seen aggressively groaning and wearing shades, his hands are cuffed together in what appears against a smoke backdrop.

Kadaram Kondan, which is said to have been predominantly shot in Malaysia, also stars Akshara Haasan and Pooja Kumar in crucial roles.During the launch of the project last August, it was mentioned in a statement that this film will be the 45th production of Raaj Kamal Films. The film, which will be dubbed and released in Telugu, has music by Ghibran.

Upon completion of this project, Vikram will begin the shoot of Rs 300 crore magnum opus Mahaveer Karna, to be directed by RS Vimal, best known for helming Ennu Ninte Moideen.
