Mass communication student Srishti Sehgal says her father is her best friend. “I wish him not only on Father’s Day, but on Friendship Day as well. Today, I am planning to take him out for dinner.” Srishti’s father, PK Sehgal, says, “There are ‘n’ number of special days mushrooming every year, so we don’t associate ourselves with any of these days [Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Friendship Day...]. But of course, I will feel nice if my daughter wishes me.”

Sudhanshu Tewari, a hotel management student, has a plain but sweet plan for Father’s Day. He says, “I would try to keep my dad happy by doing whatever he asks me to do, whether it’s cleaning my room, or accompanying him to a place of his choice.” Shweta Nag, an MBA student, says, “I will miss my dad as he is in Shimla. I will wish him over the phone and will get nostalgic like I do every time when I remember our long walks on Mall road. Had he been here, I probably would have got him some gift and cooked his favourite dish.”

So go ahead, indulge your father today and tell him that you love him.
