I was getting ready to attend my friend’s wedding. I had planned on wearing my new sari teamed with a chic choli and my expensive gold necklace.

I was busy applying make-up on my face. Suddenly I realised that I was late and would miss my friends. All of us had decided to meet at a point close to the wedding hall.

I dressed in a tearing rush. I was fumbling with the hooks of my choli. It was the first time I was wearing a choli with hooks at the back.

Such a shock
Finally, I managed it and rushed out of the house at lightening speed. As expected, my friends were not there. So I had to find my own way to the marriage hall.

I was deep in my thoughts when suddenly, I felt someone tugging at my necklace. I was shocked by this unexpected attack. Someone was beating a hasty retreat on a bike.

I felt sad when I realised that my necklace was stolen. I turned around and returned home in a dazed state! But another shock awaited me.

While getting out of my clothes, I heard a thud sound. I couldn’t believe my eyes. My necklace was lying on the floor! It must have broken when the thief tried to snatch it and fallen inside my choli! I never knew shock could be so pleasant!
