Neymar, who has been in talks over a contract extension with his current deal expiring in June 2018, has been linked in Spanish media with a move to PSG.
“Neymar’s renewal is a sporting issue,” Monje told a news conference in which she spoke about the club’s importance to the city of Barcelona.
“We have not studied the impact of hypothetically losing Neymar. We don’t contemplate it.”
Neymar has just completed his third year at Barca since joining from Santos.
LEE RULED OUT OF TAIWAN OPEN
TAIWAN: Malaysia’s badminton association (BAM) has pulled world No 1 Lee Chong Wei out of this month’s Taiwan Open to let him recover from a leg injury and regain full fitness ahead of this summer’s Rio Olympics.
The 33-year-old suffered the injury on the way to claiming his sixth Indonesian Open title earlier this month and later pulled out of the Australian Open.
KIYOTAKE TO COMPLETE SEVILLA MOVE THIS WEEK
MADRID: Europa League winners Sevilla are to sign Japan midfielder Hiroshi Kiyotake from German side Hanover 96 on a four-year deal subject to a medical, the Spanish club said on Wednesday.
“Hiroshi Kiyotake will arrive on Thursday afternoon at Seville to undergo a medical examination,” the La Liga club said in a statement. “Should everything go to plan, the player will sign a contract for the next four seasons with Sevilla.”
Kiyotake, 26, has spent two seasons at Hanover, who were relegated from the top flight last term, scoring five goals and six assists more in 21 Bundesliga appearances.
Sevilla finished seventh last season but qualified for the Champions League.
