MUMBAI: Goan Sports Association (GSA) beat Central Railway Mumbai Division (CRMD) 11-6, in a high-scoring 17-goal First Division match of the MHAL (Mumbai Hockey Association Limited) League 2016-2017 played at the MHAL-Mahindra Stadium, Churchgate on Thursday.

Centre forward Ashok Kumar scored four goals for the Goan outfit while Nitin Rand Lalit S both scored braces. N Kumar, Kuldeep Singh and A Kumar, all chipped with one apiece.

For CRMD, Harbhari Singh bagged a hat-trick while Bhasvaraj SA, Rajender Yadav and Tausif Khan also were on the score-sheet.

KASHYAP TO COACH MUMBAI FC

Mumbai FC announced Santosh Kashyap as the new head coach f or t heir 2016/ 17 I - League season. Kashyap will replace Khalid Jamil.

The 49-year-old has previously managed some of the top teams in Indian football like Air India, Mohun Bagan, Rangdajied United, Royal Wahingdoh and Salgaocar. Under him, Royal Wahingdoh finished third in the I-League 2014-15 season with a relatively young team.
