CHENNAI: India on Saturday came back to winning ways by defeating England 2.5-1.5 in the eighth round at the World Chess Olympiad currently underway at Baku in Azerbaijan.

Chennai lad SP Sethuraman defeated Nigel Short to seal victory after three draws. On the top board, World No 15 P Harikrishna held Michael Adams in 58 moves. B Adhiban signed peace treaty with David Howell as did Vidit Santosh Gujrathi and Gawain Jones.
