BERLIN: Robert Lewandowski netted a hat-trick on Friday as holders Bayern Munich brushed past minnows Carl Zeiss Jena with a 5-0 away win in the first round of the German Cup. The Poland striker put Bayern ahead after just three minutes at fourth-division club Jena and then tapped in from close range after Franck Ribery’s pass found him in the area on 34 minutes. He rolled another shot past Jena goalkeeper Raphael Koczor nine minutes later for third which left Bayern 3-0 up at the break.
