Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga reached the World Indoor tournament semi-finals without hitting a ball today after fourth seed Tomas Berdych pulled out suffering with flu.

Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga reached the World Indoor tournament semi-finals without hitting a ball on Friday after fourth seed Tomas Berdych pulled out suffering with flu.

Tsonga will meet either Ivan Ljubicic or Marco Baghdatis in Saturday's semi-final.

Holder Robin Soderling plays Russian Mikhail Youzhny and Marin Cilic takes on Victor Troicki in the remaining quarter-final ties.
