CWG 2022 Day 10 Highlights: It was yet another splendid outing for India at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on Monday, which also was the penultimate day of the quadrennial event. India's biggest medal prospect Nikhat Zareen secured a gold in the women's 50kg bout. She was not the only pugilist with the yellow metal on their neck, as Amit Panghal and Nitu Ghangas also won the gold medal in their respective final bouts. However, Sagar, who competes in the heavyweight division, had to be content with the silver medal after going down against England's Delicious Orie. The pair of Sharath Kamal and Sreeja Akula won a gold in the mixed doubles table tennis event. However, the men's doubles pair of Sharath and G Sathiyan had to be content with a silver in their event. The Indian women's hockey team also ended their 16-year-long wait for a CWG medal as they defeated New Zealand to win bronze. A historic moment was witnessed in men's triple jump as India's Eldhose Paul and Abdullah Aboobacker clinched gold and silver respectively. Sandeep Kumar won bronze in Men's 10 km Race Walk, Annu Rani also won bronze in women's javelin. The pair of Dipika Pallikal and Saurav Ghosal won the bronze medal in squash mixed doubles. Kidambi Srikanth won the bronze medal in badminton men's singles, and the young pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand won the bronze medal in women's doubles.
