Lleyton Hewitt made the most of his first career appearance at Kooyong Classic Friday, waiting out a weather delay, to book a place in the final with a 6-3, 7-6(3) defeat of Nikolay Davydenko. Hewitt next plays Gael Monfils, who beat Juergen Melzer 2-6, 6-2, 7-6(4).

Li shocks Clijsters to win in Sydney
