Natasha in final, Ankita and Rushmi win title

Natasha Palha made it to her first final of a professional event after winning her semifinal match against compatriot Sharmada Balu 6-4, 6-4 in the Ten Sports $10,000 ITF Women's Tournament at the RK Khanna Stadium.

Chinese Taipei's Pei-Chi Lee, however, stopped it from being an all-Indian final, when she defeated Poojashree Venkatesha 6-4, 6-0 in the other semifinal.

Meanwhile, young player Ankita Raina, partnering a much more experienced player, Rushmi Chakravarthy, won the doubles title.

They beat China's Yu Xuan Liu and Qianqian Zhao 6-1, 6-4.
