Asian Games 2023 Day 10 Highlights: Parul Chaudhary, who won silver in women's 3000m steeplechase on Monday, secured a gold medal in the women's 5000m final. She clocked 15:14.75, overtaking Japan's Ririka Hironaka in the final moment of the race. Meanwhile, Vithya Ramraj won a bronze medal in the women's 400m final. Mohammed Afsal won the silver medal in the men’s 800m. Praveen Chithravel wins bronze in men's triple jump final. Tejaswin Shankar then added a silver in India's medal count by finishing second in men's decathlon event. Annu Rani clinched gold medal in women's javelin throw event with a 62.92m throw.

Narender (+92kg) goes down fighting against Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist Kazakhstan's Kamshybek Kunkabayev 0-5 in the semifinals to earn himself a bronze medal at the Asian Games 2022. Earlier in the day, Sachin endured a 1-4 defeat against China's Ping Lyu in the men's 51-57 kg quarterfinal.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team resisted a fightback from Nepal on a tricky surface as Yashasvi Jaiswal's terrific century (100), Rinku Singh's late blitzkrieg (37*) and an all-round outing from bowlers helped the side to 23-run win. With the victory, India entered the semi-finals of the men's cricket event. India also made a winning start in the men's kabaddi event, beating Bangladesh 55-18 while the women's hockey side registered a convincing 13-0 win over Hong Kong China. In archery, Indians dominated the Compound event with Ojas Pravin Deotale and Abhishek Sharma setting up an all-Indian final in men's event, while Jyothi Surekha Vennam also reaching the women's final.

In badminton, both -- HS Prannoy, PV Sindhu, and Kidambi Srikanth hardly broke sweat to reach the round-of-16. Kumari Chanda and Harmilan Bains secured final spots in women's 800m race while India also qualified for final in 4x400m men's event.
