Seasoned pro and doubles specialist Leander Paes had already made it clear that he will not be part of the Indian sqauds as the Games are clashing with prestigious World Tour finals, which he is keen to participate and win.

As expected he was not named in the six-member squad, announced by the All India Tennis Association (AITA) on Friday.

The Asian are scheduled to take place in Guangzhou, China from November 12 to 27 while the season-ending World Tour finals will be held in London between November 21 and 28.

Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna have been named in the squad but they be available only if they fail to qualify for World Tour finals.

Top eight players and teams participate in the Finals and Bopanna and Bhupathi have good chance to remain in bracket.

Bopanna and Aisam-ul-haq Qureshi are currently world number six and Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi are placed at number eight.
