How to hide your WhatsApp profile pic and ‘Last Seen’ status? Follow these steps

Instant messaging platform WhatsApp not only stores our conversations, but also gives significant details. The display picture shows our photograph, while last seen determines when was the app last used. Sometimes people are not comfortable in sharing such vital information with others.
On several occasions, we might need to block a number or delete a contact of the person we don't want to divulge our 'Last Seen' status. But a feature announced by WhatsApp few days ago has ended the problem, Hindustan Times sister publication Live Hindustan reported.
Now, we can hide our display picture and ‘Last Seen' status with anyone. Here are the following steps.
STEP 1: Open WhatsApp on your Android or iPhone.
STEP 2: Go to Settings>Account>Privacy> Profile photo.
STEP 3: Select the option ‘My contacts except' and pick those contacts with whom you want to hide your display picture.
STEP 4: Similarly, for ‘Last Seen’ you can select the option ‘My Contacts Except’.

Recently, there were reports that WhatsApp is going to roll out a feature which will help users to hide their online status to other people. The feature is currently being developed and is not available for beta testers. With this feature, the users will get more option to avoid users they don't wish to interact with.
Similarly, WhatsApp also has a feature which allows users to mute the chat messages of certain users. All we need to do is select the chat and pick mute option.
