Russian sixth seed Svetlana Kuznetsova beat Swedish qualifier Sofia Arvidsson 6-3, 6-4 to reach the French Open third round on Thursday.
She will now face either Argentinian 30th seed Gisela Dulko or Marissa Irvin of the United States for a place in the fourth round.
