Former Punjab Police chief Sumedh Singh Saini faces arrest after high court dismisses bail petition

Former director general of police Saini can appeal against the judgment before the Supreme Court in the Balwant Singh Multani disappearance case of 1991

The former DGP, Sumedh Singh Saini, whose whereabouts are not known at present, was booked in May for the alleged kidnapping of Balwant Singh Multani, a junior engineer with the Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Corporation (Citco) in 1991 and the son of a bureaucrat. Multani disappearance case: HC judge recuses from hearing Saini’s anticipatory bail plea

Mohali additional district and sessions judge had on Tuesday dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of the ex-DGP in the Balwant Singh Multani disappearance case. It is against this order that Saini had approached the high court
