Mahim Causeway to be widened from 6 lanes to 10 lanes

Mumbai commuters will face a difficult journey between the city and suburbs for the next 36 months as a key bridge is taken down for renovation. The bridge over River Mithi, part of Mahim Causeway, will be replaced with a wider and longer path. The bridge is a critical junction connecting Mahim with SV Road and is used by office workers and those travelling to the airport. The renovation is necessary as the bridge is almost 60 years old, and the work will be carried out in phases over the next three years.

After inauguration by PM, over 20,000 take metro ride, PMPML starts feeder bus service

Over 20,000 commuters travelled on Pune metro's extended routes a day after their inauguration, with the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) launching its feeder bus service from the newly operational metro stations. The PMPML is expecting a rise in ridership with the introduction of the feeder bus service. The metro fares range from ?10 to ?35, and the Maha-Metro has announced a 30% discount on fares for students and on weekends for all citizens.

Noida Metro expands parking facilities at five more stations

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation has added parking services at five new stations on the Aqua Line between Noida and Greater Noida, as well as at Sector 51 in Noida, Sector 137 in Greater Noida, and Sector Delta 1 in Greater Noida. The NMRC plans to provide parking facilities at all 21 of its Metro stations as demand grows. Each parking station can accommodate at least 300 vehicles, and the NMRC collects user fees through automatic machines. The Aqua Line has 21 Metro stations and NMRC intends to connect it to the Delhi Metro?s Blue Line via a 300-metre-long air-conditioned footbridge.

No masks for commuters in private cars: Delhi govt order

Health experts have commended the move to start imposing fines on those spotted without a mask in Delhi, and said the removal of the penalties may have played a part in the present Covid cases spike.
