In Goregaon suburb of north-west Mumbai, four persons of a family including a minor girl suffered electrocution from some live wires in the vicinity of their home in which two perished and two were injured.

Commuters said it took more than the usual time to travel as traffic remained standstill for hours, especially on the Western and Eastern Express Highways.

Biker crushed under tempo in Mumbai as he falls while evading pit

The biker, identified as Huzuralam Sayyed, was not wearing a helmet. The pillion rider, the victim’s cousin, sustained injuries to his leg. The tempo driver was arrested for rash driving.
