President Droupadi Murmu flags off 3 trains in Odisha, Jharkhand

President Droupadi Murmu, who is on a visit to Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, on Tuesday flagged off three trains from Badampahar Railway Station in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. These trains are Shalimar -Badampahar - Shalimar Weekly Express, Badampahar-Rourkela - Badampahar Weekly Express, and Tatanagar- Badampahar- Tatanagar MEMU Service.

Celebrations begin at Murmu's native village as she surges ahead of Sinha

National Democratic Alliance (NDA)-backed Presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu is leading against Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha after the end of the first round of counting of votes which started at 11 am on Thursday. Celebrations began in her native village of Rairangpur in Odisha with sweets, tribal music and dance.

Rath Yatra 2022: Rituals begin at Puri's Srimandir

Ratha Yatra, also known as the Chariot Celebration of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Balabhadra, is being observed today, July 1. It is the most prominent Hindu festival in the Puri city of Odisha. This festival takes place every year on the second day of the Shukla Paksha in the months of June or July. Around a million devotees from across the country thronged temple town of Puri on Friday to pull the three wooden chariots carrying Lord Jagannath and his siblings on the main thoroughfare.
