Tamil Nadu govt drops rupee symbol from budget, replaces it with symbol in Tamil

PayPal-backed startup does India's first e-rupee deal worth $3.5 million: Report

The Mumbai-based Mintoak said the deal will enable its partners like HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and SBI to offer more comprehensive CBDC-related payment services.

Rupee falls 8 paise to 86.96 as foreign fund outflows continue

The rupee fell 8 paise to 86.96 against the US dollar due to foreign fund outflows and a rising dollar index.

Due to persistent outflows of foreign funds and an increase in the US dollar index, the rupee lost 8 paise to settle at 86.96 (provisional) versus the US dollar.(REUTERS//Vivek Prakash)
