Five including four minors detained for armed robbery at wine shop

In a joint operation by Uttamnagar Police and Sinhgad Road Police on Tuesday, five individuals including four minors were detained in connection with an armed robbery at RR Wines in Uttam Nagar on Sunday

Fire breaks out at liquor shop on GCR, no one hurt

Imported liquor worth at least ?5 crore was destroyed in a fire at an upscale wine shop in Gurugram. The fire spread quickly due to the highly-inflammable alcohol, and it took over two hours and 24 firefighters to douse the flames. The cause of the fire is believed to be a short-circuit in the refrigeration units or air-conditioning system, according to the owner of the shop. This is the second fire incident on the Golf Course Road in the last three days.

Wine shop staffer robbed of 1.5 lakh in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar

Rajasthan Wine freezer case: Victim’s kin tell cops not to take action

“My brother had slept inside the container and locked himself and due to the fire, he died in an accident. Earlier, we thought that it was done by the owners of the wine shop but when we enquired on their role, we found nothing on them. Hence, I request that no action should be taken against the owners,” the application filed by the brother of the accused said.

Andhra government to take over all liquor shops from October 1

The government-owned Andhra Pradesh State Beverages Corporation Limited (APSBCL) will take over the liquor business from next month, Deputy Chief Minister and Excise Minister Naryanaswamy said on Saturday adding that the state had taken over 475 liquor shops under APSBCL from September 1.

Duo rob Rs 35K from shop

According to the complaint, the robbers came on a motorbike and barged into the shop wearing helmets. There were three salesmen in the wine shop and they were about to close the shop for the day when the two men entered and told the salesmen to assemble in a corner.

In the second case of its kind in a fortnight, two armed men allegedly robbed Rs 35,000 cash from a wine shop in Mohammadpur Jharsa village near Sector 37 late Tuesday.
