Woman lives on top of volcano to set world record

Perla Tijerina, a 31-year-old athlete, is living on top of volcano for a month to set world record.

There are people who often make headlines for creating or attempting world records that can be called daring, as well as, strange. Perla Tijerina is one of them as she is trying to set a record by living on top of a volcano for a month. Currently, the 31-year-old is living in Pico de Orizaba, the highest mountain in Mexico and an active Stratovolcano.

Tijerina also regularly takes to Instagram to document her journey of living 18,620 feet above sea level. “I like to test my mental strength,” she told NeedToKnow.online, reports The Independent. “It led me to carry out this great challenge, which I’ve named the ‘high-rise woman’,” she added.

According to The Independent she also want to inspire people besides creating record. “I want to be an inspiration for all those women who are looking for a motivation that encourages them to continue making an effort, to be constant and not to give up despite the obstacles,” she explained. “I am never alone, I have too many books to read, and I meditate. I have the bible that I read at all times to keep me spiritually and mentally strong,” she further added while talking about how she keeps herself occupied.

Further, according to The Independent, before starting her journey to make a record, she went through proper medical check-ups and will continue doing so.
