Canadian singer Avril Lavigne says she wants to be an X Factor judge.
The 27-year-old, who dueted with finalist Chris Rene in the season one finale, has reportedly approached show boss Simon Cowell about the prospect of taking one of the vacant seats on the panel following the axing of Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.
Lavigne believes she "would be a good addition to the show" because she started her music career when she was just 17. So she thinks she would be in a useful position to advise the contestants, reports tmz.com.
A host of stars have been linked with the vacant judging roles on the show including Britney Spears and Janet Jackson.
