“I am very bad at taking compliments. Even in school, when people told me that I look good, I could just manage an awkward thank you and a smile,” says Barun, adding that how his family and friends often point out how poor his responses are to the people who admire him. But he hasn’t been able to do much about it.

Barun also shares that he feels awkward when his fans show their admiration. Ask him about his crazy fan encounters and how his wife reacts to them, the actor says, “Yes, I have a lot of them [fans] and I’ve encountered several such moments at various places. Sometimes, they want to touch you or hug you. There was one moment when someone planted a kiss on my cheek and I didn’t know what to do. My wife is okay with all this.”

You are so cute 😅

Barun says that he has learnt to handle female fan following over the years and adds, “Yes, I have come a long way though the awkwardness is always there. Fans love the image that they see on-screen. They simply admire you for whatever they see on TV shows, without even knowing you as a person. That’s such a pure thing. I’m thankful for the love they have showered on me.”
