Bigg Boss 8: Salman Khan gets a day off on his birthday

Salman Khan will not host Saturday’s (December 27) episode as Bigg Boss has decided to give him a day off. However, contrary to reports that Kapil Sharma will host the episode instead, the TV star will simply visit the house and not host the show.

Here’s some bad news for Salman Khan fans: You won't get to see the Dabangg star on his birthday (December 27). Salman Khan, who hosts the weekend episodes of the show, has been given a day off to celebrate his birthday.

Weekend episodes of Bigg Boss are a better TRP-gainer than the regular ones mainly because Salman takes the contestants to task over their behavior in the house through the week. This Saturday Khan will not shoot for the episode and there will be no arguments on whom did Salman support and why. Instead, TV star Kapil Sharma and his teammates from Comedy Nights with Kapil will visit the Bigg Boss house to add some entertainment value to the episode.

Some reports have been claiming the Kapil will host Bigg Boss on December 27 but it is not true. Sources from the show have told Hindustan Times that Kapil is replacing Salman only for Saturday’s episode, but his role will be limited to visiting the house and interact with the housemates.
