A group of Indian dancers, who call themselves Desi Hoppers, were crowned winners of the World of Dance championship in Los Angeles on August 15. The eight-member team was pitted against participants from 14 other countries.

The first ever Indian troupe to represent the country at the championship, Desi Hoppers impressed the judges with their energy and unique dance moves, which had a mix of Indian dance moves seamlessly merged with international dance styles. The team will be seen in TV dance reality show Bindass Naach which starts this month and chronicles the story of Shantanu Maheshwari, Macedon Dmello and Nimit Kotian as they search for a dream team of dancers.
"Our victory is a proud moment for not just us but for the entire country. Bindass Naach started as a dream and we never thought we will reach this far. This is our tribute to the country. We hope this win will inspire many young Indians and give them a message that if you can dream, you can achieve them too."
