Ekta Kapoor to launch another TV show

After uniting Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar onscreen in her show, Bade Acche Lagte Hain..., Ekta Kapoor is now bringing Mona Singh, popular as the desi Ugly Betty Jassi, back into a daily soap opposite actor Pawan Shankar.

Mona Singh will be the soap queen’s leading lady in her upcoming show, Bas Itni Si Baat Hai, that goes on air on January 16 on Sony Entertainment.

“I couldn’t concentrate on TV shows because I had The Dirty Picture up for release. And now that I’ve made time for TV shows, I’m really thrilled to bring another show based on relationships because I don’t think there can be a show bereft of relationships.”

Ekta, who hasn’t been in a relationship officially, says, “I don’t have to be in a relationship to understand its nuances. I have a heart in the right place and that’s all it takes. There’s one underlying message that I want to give out through my shows. Marriages are not meant to be short-term.”
