Game of Thrones, Episode 5, Eastwatch preview: If Jon Snow won’t listen to Daenerys and bend his knee, Drogon will scare him into doing it.
Hours before the premiere of the fifth episode of Game of Thrones’ seventh season, Eastwatch, a new, 18-second teaser has been released - and it’s a meeting of ice and fire unlike anything you’re expecting.
The clip was released on the official social media handles of Game of Thrones on Sunday.
In the clip, we see Drogon the dragon trying to intimidate Jon Snow, perhaps into finally bending his knee and proclaiming Drogon’s ‘mother’, Daenerys Targaryen the one true ruler of the Seven Kingdoms.
In a previously released trailer for the episode, we saw Daenerys calling for total devotion. “I’m not here for murder,” she said to the remaining members of the Lannister army, who’d seen their brothers in arms massacred in episode 4’s fiery bloodbath. “Bend the knee and join me, or refuse and die.”
Ever since Daenerys and Jon Snow’s long-awaited meeting in the season’s second episode, the Queen has been demanding Jon acknowledge her power, but so far, Jon has held out.
Eastwatch will air on Hotstar a few minutes after the US premiere on Monday morning. It will also be telecast on Star World and Star World HD on Tuesday. Stay tuned for our review!
