What’s-On-India lets you pick a show of your choice, through instant live feeds of what’s on at that time. Inspired by international TV guidance channels, it’s a search engine that displays a programme guide and recommends what to watch. It works in real-time, powered by satellites and is available on all DTH services, IPTV and with cable operators.

Atul Phadnis, CEO of What’s On India, believes that his channel will help viewers to choose the best from approximately 350 channels beaming on TV currently. “Seven out 10 viewers don’t know what to watch. Our research shows that nearly 70 per cent TV sessions are unplanned in India,” he adds.

Look-alike
The channel, in terms of look and feel, resembles a news channel and streams live content on its website too. Text scrolls with channel names and shows playing every hour. “It works like Google that produces the top 10 records at any given time. One can even set reminders for shows and movies and track their past records too,” Phadnis states.

Apart from movie premieres, award nights and reality show finale alerts; the channel also provides videos of upcoming shows.
