Intriguing promo catches eye

Sources indicate that the show’s basic storyline has been borrowed from movies such as Woh Saat Din (WSD, 1983) and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (HDDCS, 1999), where the husband tries to reunite his wife with her former lover. But as far as the show is concerned, it’s learned from reliable insiders that the reason the wife will be married off to someone else is because her husband is found to be either homosexual or impotent.

When asked, actor Gaurav Khanna, who plays the husband in the show, says, “I don’t know the reason myself. That bit comes in much later and I think it’s still being written. So whether the man is impotent, homosexual, a combination of both, or something else, it’s too early to comment. I can only guarantee you a funny twist to the narrative which I refuse to believe is a take on HDDCS and WSD.”
