Just a couple of days after a quiz show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan drew to a close, the grapevine was abuzz with rumours that due to the poor ratings of the show this year, there are no plans of bringing it back next year for another season. However, the producer of the show, Siddhartha Basu refutes all such claims.

"Such decisions are never taken so early. The broadcaster takes the call normally when the next season is close. So many things have to be taken into consideration. I have no information either way," he says.

The show that has had a run of eight seasons till now, touched popularity charts in almost all seasons. But the latest one, which ended on November 16, didn't measure up to its part records. Apparently, that triggered the speculation about the show's journey coming to an end.

Basu says, "I have had no discussion on this (with the channel). At this point, normally it's (the future of the show) not discussed. Meanwhile, the format is a hit in other parts of the country (in regional languages)."
